I’m so pleased to offer you the second of these guest posts on the hymns included on the Valley album. This one is by my longtime friend, Scott Neely.
“I sing the mighty power of God, that made the mountains rise…” (Isaac Watts)
The beauty of God, so felt in the world around us, hums in us too.
The mountains, and the song about them, and the singer, are each a part of creation, singing.
We are creation together.
We are made to wander over the mountains.
We are made to sing.
And our breath as we wander, and our breath as we sing, and the wind on our faces
is the Spirit that made us in beauty.
We feel the Spirit wandering
over us & around us
& through us
& in us,
“…And everywhere that we can be, Thou, God art present there.”
