You know, some years you make a really carefully thought-out kickstarter video about your album. And you write a script and memorize it, and have other people take video of you, and edit and fix stuff, and float still shots in and out of it. And that’s cool.
Other years you run out on the porch between dinner and bedtime ’cause you happened to blow-dry your hair that day and you want to take advantage of it, and because your day job needs a lot of night work, and you spend ten minutes babbling into your phone about the music you’ve loved making, and you forget to mention all kinds of things and don’t really complete all your thoughts, and that’s okay too. It’s actually perfect for this album, because it’s meant to be an accompaniment track for the everyday. Intimate enough to hang out with your laundry and your computer and your food prep and your kids. Capacious enough to hold your disappointments and hopes, sufferings and joys. An everyday kind of life, death, and resurrection soundtrack. I’m so excited to share it with you.
