I am thrilled to announce that Words that Give Life: For All Seasons is now available on amazon.com!
This lovely book is a compilation of spiritual writing by the members of my gifted, beloved writing cohort. There were ten of us who gathered in San Antonio three times during 2012, all writing-pastor-types, convened by the deeply wise and amazing Jerry Haas and Robin Pippin, through a Lilly Grant administered by the Upper Room. Our first meeting took place the week my husband Chris was initially diagnosed with cancer, our second meeting happened not long after we had moved across the state and Chris had been hospitalized for a couple of weeks, and our third meeting was the week after his relapse.
Each time I almost did not go. Each time, I went and discovered that that small community was God’s precise provision and manna for me. These writers, many of whom are published elsewhere, have contributed poetry, sermons, short stories, and essays, and they are beautiful. I am delighted to share our words and work with you, and I hope you’ll head over to amazon to take a look!
